Project Evaluation
NYA is undergoing a comprehensive evaluation to assess whether its main project goals will be achieved. Data collection methods include surveys of system youth about their attorney representation and on-line court case file reviews.
The following project goals are being evaluated
Goal #1
Create a network of attorneys well-trained in the specialized practice of juvenile law
Goal #2
Improve the perceptions of procedural fairness by youth involved in the juvenile justice system<
Goal #3
Increase the quantity and quality of Nebraska appeals on behalf of youth in the justice system
Goal #4
In Douglas County: Increase motions and requests for probably cause showings; Decrease admissions to original charges
